I have been stressing the point that our immunity is suffering by not being around others. There is something you can do right now to rectify that in some ways. Being outside helps with stress, lowers blood pressure, and even helps with feelings of loneliness and depression. Better still, it improves your immune system! Even if it's not further than your own backyard or neighboring park, get outside every day, feel better and get healthier!
Check out this article: https://www.themanual.com/outdoors/health-benefits-of-going-outside-are-critical-social-distancing/ While many of you remain at home, this virus still moves through the population. The difference is that it moves slower. It is moving so slow in fact that the total percentage of people who have actually contracted this disease is only about three percent. For most of us, we will not even know we contracted it. For a few, it will be deadly (about 1/1000). The lockdown has been far deadlier. I enjoyed this fact based interview so I have posted it so you can watch it too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=289NWm85eas I am in no way trying to say this virus isn't something, but it's not what they are trying to make it out to be. It is being blown way out of proportion by models that keep changing and keep being proven to be way overstating the information. Yet they are still using them. https://slate.com/technology/2020/03/coronavirus-mortality-rate-lower-than-we-think.html
This well written article states a very sensible case about what it really going on here. We are harming our own health by being locked up for months and our own immunity is being compromised in the process. Things that would not have made you sick before the lock down are becoming unfamiliar to your body and hence now pose a threat. If we are fighting to regain immunity and fighting with bacteria we previously knew, it makes colds and viruses that much easier to gain a foothold. We will become sicker when we are finally slammed with the introduction of so many things foreign again to our system. Get outside, without a mask, breathe in life and sunshine and keep your flora thriving so you can stay healthy! |
